In this blog post, we’ll explore fun Easter activities for dogs, safe and delicious DIY dog treats, and important Easter safety tips to keep tails wagging all weekend long!
Fun Easter Activities for Dogs
Doggy Easter Egg Hunt 🥚
One of the best ways to celebrate Easter with your pup is by organising a dog-friendly Easter egg hunt. Instead of chocolate eggs (which are toxic to dogs!), hide small dog treats or favourite toys around your garden or home for your dog to sniff out.
How to set it up:✅ Use plastic eggs with holes or simply hide treats around your space.✅ Keep the hiding spots easy enough for dogs to find with their noses.✅ Encourage them with praise as they discover each hidden surprise!
Easter Dog Costume Parade 🐾
Nothing says "Easter celebration" quite like a doggy fashion show! From bunny ears to pastel bandanas, dressing up your pup for Easter photos is a fun way to get in the spirit.

Easter-Themed Enrichment Games 🎾
Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise! Try these simple enrichment games with an Easter twist:
The Easter Box Game: Fill a cardboard box with shredded paper and hide treats inside for your dog to dig out.

Easter Safety Tips for Dogs
While Easter is a time of fun and festivities, it’s also important to be mindful of potential hazards for dogs. Here are some key safety tips to keep in mind:
Avoid Chocolate & Sweets: Chocolate is toxic to dogs, and many Easter candies contain xylitol, which is extremely dangerous. Stick to dog-friendly treats instead!
Keep Easter Grass & Decorations Out of Reach: Plastic Easter grass and foil wrappings can be choking hazards, so be sure to dispose of them properly.
Beware of Toxic Spring Plants: Certain flowers, like daffodils, tulips, and lilies, can be poisonous to dogs if ingested. Keep them out of reach in your home and garden.
Supervise Egg Hunts: If you’re hiding real eggs, make sure your dog doesn’t find them too late and eat spoiled food!
Monitor Excitement Levels: Easter gatherings can be overwhelming for some dogs. Ensure they have a quiet space to retreat if needed.
