StreetVet & Pawrade: Uniting to make a difference for the pets of those who are experiencing homelessness

Who are StreetVet?

Imagine facing the world’s challenges with nothing but your loyal pet by your side. For many people experiencing homelessness, their pets are family, their only source of companionship, warmth, security, and unconditional love. However, access to veterinary care can be incredibly difficult.

That’s where StreetVet comes in.

Founded in 2016, this incredible organisation provides free veterinary care to the pets of people experiencing homelessness across the UK. With a dedicated team of nearly 400 volunteer vets and nurses, they take their expertise directly to the streets, offering vaccinations, parasite treatments, pain relief, surgeries, and more. Anything that can be done in a veterinary consulting room, our volunteers can do on the streets—all to ensure that pets are happy, healthy and by their owner’s side.

StreetVet isn’t just about medical treatment; it’s about protecting the unbreakable bond between people and their pets, and ensuring that nobody has to choose between their pet and a roof over their head.
